Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Smyrna, Georgia, and offers an excellent opportunity to manage key financial processes and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles and be adept at handling month-end close duties, reconciliations, and audits.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.

- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with auditing standards.

- Conduct account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

- Process journal entries and ensure proper documentation.

- Handle sales and use tax filings and compliance.

- Utilize Sage 100 and Acumatica systems for accounting tasks and reporting.

- Collaborate with auditors during financial statement audits.

- Generate detailed reports using Microsoft Excel to support financial analysis.

- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting management or similar roles.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

- Familiarity with financial statement audits and account reconciliation.

- Proficiency in handling sales and use tax requirements.

- Expertise in Sage 100 and Acumatica accounting platforms.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work effectively within deadlines in a contract-based position.
