Accounts Receivable Specialist

Sandvik Mining is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Smyrna, GA.

This hybrid role requires working 3 days in office in Smyrna, GA.

• Process cash and credit card receipts daily and apply funds to appropriate account in the business system on a daily basis.
• Assist the A/R Supervisor in resolving accounts receivable problems with customers.
• Set up new customers in the business system ensuring proper coding.
• Maintain accurate customer files; keep track of name changes, mergers, address changes and mailing attentions for all customers.
• Conduct collection calls and emails to customers to obtain payment.
• Research customer queries and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide general accounting and clerical support as required.

• Comply with SMC safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
• Identify and report any unsafe work practices.

• Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values and current Company Policies and Procedures.
• Takes responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills.

• Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor.
• As a back-up, process cash collections and accounts accurately reflect payments.
• Resolve customer issues and respond to customer inquiries.

• Associate’s Degree
• Analytical skills
• Demonstrated success in Customer Service focused roles

• College graduate (Bachelor’s)

Smyrna, GA

Travel Requirements / shift / hours:
Typically working in office Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and the first 3 days of the week at month end.

Compensation Range: $55,000 to $65,000

Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship. (
