Junior Accountant

Location: Smyrna, GA

Compensation: $60,000–$65,000/year

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Non-Exempt

The Junior Accountant supports the Accounting team with daily transactions, cost accounting, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities. This role works closely with production and procurement teams and is well suited for an early-career accounting professional seeking hands-on manufacturing accounting experience.

• Record and reconcile AP, AR, and general ledger transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Support inventory costing, cycle counts, and variance analysis.
• Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts.
• Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with COGS calculations and project cost tracking.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Gather documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist with sales tax filings and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate with production and procurement teams on cost-related matters.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 0–2 years of related accounting experience; internships may qualify.
• Strong written and spoken English for business communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately with financial data, percentages, ratios, and related calculations.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.

• Familiarity with cost accounting and/or manufacturing environments.
• Coursework or experience in financial or cost accounting.
• ERP experience such as SAP, Net Suite, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• CPA track or progress toward certification.
