Essential Job Duties The Administrative Assistant in this position will provide administrative support to the County Extension Director and other staff of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension – Randolph County Center.

Duties and Responsibilities
The County Extension Administrative Assistant is a member of the staff of North Carolina Cooperative Extension. The primary responsibility is to provide administrative support to the County Extension Director and other staff as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, budget planning, forecasting, and monitoring. The County Administrative Assistant cooperates with colleagues in NCCE and county leaders in performing assigned responsibilities.
This position requires a high level of financial accuracy, organization, accountability, confidentiality, and independent judgment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with multiple budgets, financial systems, deadlines, and competing priorities while providing responsive customer service to Extension staff.
Other Work/Responsibilities
Duties include:
- Budget related activities, including purchasing, invoice processing, and taking payments
- Bookkeeping of multiple accounts and grants
- Maintenance of confidential personnel records
- Completion of NCCE and Randolph County mandated reports
