Compass Academy in Smyrna is currently looking for energetic, loving and reliable teachers for all ages. We remain an independent, family-owned and operated enterprise.

Our goal is to be as eco-friendly as possible and to create a natural learning ambiance with organic practices and indoor and outdoor classrooms; our curriculum is an eclectic mix of the Montessori and the play method.

• Full-time
• Supervise and promote activities designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
• Implement appropriate lesson plans with a variety of materials in the various content areas.
• Maintain assessments of each child's development and prepare parent reports.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the guidelines in the employee handbook.
• Provide outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi‑task and manage multiple situations effectively.
• Show sensitivity and maturity when relating to children and adults.
• Consistently meet a schedule of up to 40 hours/week or part‑time schedule.

• 1-2 years Early Childhood Education Experience/Previous Childcare Experience strongly desired.
• Must possess an active Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or any major with relevant experience.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must meet state‑specific guidelines for the role.
