Responsibilities- Support the Injection Molding Team through regular coaching, team meetings, and on-job training.
- Ensure the realization of QRQC activities for all problems (including those from new projects) and escalation to upper levels of management.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct/coordinate advanced industrial engineering assignments associated with Manufacturing Engineering.
- Support APU Managers / Site Manager in the analysis of issues.
- Estimate workforce needs and schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
- Supervise or coordinate the work of Engineers, Technicians, Designers and others who assist in specific assignments.
- Facilitate and implement IP and VPS tools such as improvement proposals, 5S, problem solving, QRQC.
- Involve suppliers and encourage the use of QRQC methodology.
- Review daily production schedules with the Master Scheduler.
- Participate in established procedures to ensure compliance with the requirements of project roadmaps.
- Organize and animate Problem Solving Groups with all relevant functions and supplier representatives to analyze the problem, find the root cause, and define action plans through Problem Solving Quality Tools.
- Support Customer Initial Sample submissions with correct documentation to ensure first-time acceptance for all new Service Part Numbers.
- Complete other job functions as directed.
- Technical Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of injection molding engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Experience processing at least one of the following injection molding machines:
Milacron, Engel, Krauss Maffei. - Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve injection molding problems as an engineer or technician.
- Strong communication skills with external vendors and customers.
