Job Overview

The Wastewater Plant Apprentice will assist in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company’s mission of saving water and protecting the environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment processes, collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient and environmentally responsible practices.

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform routine cleaning of treatment equipment, pumps, and tanks.
  • Monitor valves, screeners, and cake disposal.
  • Restock and change out chemical totes and other chemicals.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures, power outages, or chemical spills, to minimize environmental impact and ensure continued operation.
  • Coordinate the Drivers and unload the tankers efficiently.
  • Work with other technicians, drivers, and supervisors as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members and report any issues or abnormalities.
  • Train new employees and share knowledge with team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; and a minimum of 1-2 years of field work experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to learning.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
