Job OverviewThe Wastewater Plant Apprentice will assist in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company’s mission of saving water and protecting the environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment processes, collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient and environmentally responsible practices.
This position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to sustainability efforts while building a career in environmental services and wastewater management. This role is an entry-level role for individuals looking to start a career in environmental services and wastewater management.

- Perform routine cleaning of treatment equipment, pumps, and tanks.
- Monitor valves, screeners, and cake disposal.
- Restock and change out chemical totes and other chemicals.
- Respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures, power outages, or chemical spills, to minimize environmental impact and ensure continued operation.
- Coordinate the Drivers and unload the tankers efficiently.
- Work with other technicians, drivers, and supervisors as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members and report any issues or abnormalities.
- Train new employees and share knowledge with team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; and a minimum of 1-2 years of field work experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
