$110,000 - $125,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

A rapidly growing and well-established organization is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of a hybrid enterprise infrastructure environment supporting mission‑critical business operations across multiple departments. This is a highly visible, hands‑on position for a technical leader who thrives in building, improving, and modernising infrastructure while mentoring junior staff and directing managed service providers.

This role is based full‑time on‑site in Smyrna, Georgia
, and requires a highly engaged infrastructure professional who enjoys being close to the technology, collaborating with operational teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do
  • Own and maintain on‑premises and hybrid infrastructure environments, including servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster‑recovery platforms.
  • Lead administration and optimisation of:
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft 365
    • Hybrid Exchange
    • VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Build and execute infrastructure modernization roadmaps focused on reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Design and maintain Power Shell automation for provisioning, reporting, maintenance, and operational workflows.
  • Manage and coordinate with a co‑managed MSP, ensuring technical standards, service delivery, and project execution align with organisational goals.
  • Mentor and support a junior infrastructure engineer.
  • Improve monitoring, patching, backup validation, disaster‑recovery readiness, and overall infrastructure governance.
  • Partner closely with cybersecurity professionals and business stakeholders to maintain a secure and resilient environment.
Required Experience
  • 6+ years of infrastructure, systems engineering, or related experience
  • Active Directory expertise
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • VMware and/or Hyper‑V experience
  • Hybrid identity experience (Entra , Entra Connect, Hybrid Exchange)
  • Power Shell scripting and automation
  • Backup and disaster‑recovery planning
  • Experience working with or managing MSP relationships
  • Ability to create technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Infrastructure modernization and growth‑stage company experience
  • Microsoft, VMware, security, or networking certifications
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers
