We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain and Logistics Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, shipping, logistics, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of parts, assemblies, raw materials, and finished goods.
This position requires strong expertise in supply chain management, domestic and international shipping, and collaboration with third-party vendors and component manufacturers.
- Oversee the full supply chain process to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals.
Manage and prioritize daily procurement activities across multiple commodities. - Act as an electronics parts buyer, sourcing and purchasing components to support production requirements.
- Manage domestic and international shipping operations while ensuring compliance with regulations, tariff codes, and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate the movement of parts, assemblies, raw materials, and finished goods to support production schedules and customer demand.
- Create, place, and manage purchase orders aligned with MRP and production demand.
- Source and onboard new vendors, including qualification, certifications, and onboarding documentation.
- Collaborate with third-party contract manufacturing vendors and component manufacturers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to achieve cost savings while minimizing risk.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and contract requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal departments, including engineering, finance, accounting, operations, warehouse, and customer service, to align supply chain activities with business objectives. - Partner with internal teams as a trusted advisor on supply chain and procurement matters.
- Coordinate with operations and production teams to ensure schedules align with demand forecasts and customer requirements.
- Ensure the timely delivery of parts, assemblies, raw materials, and finished goods to meet production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Analyze inventory and support the reduction of excess and obsolete materials.
- Monitor and control supply chain costs to ensure operations remain within budget.
- Lead resolution efforts for pricing, delivery, and quality issues, escalating when necessary.
- Conduct supplier business reviews and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
- Identify supply chain bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to increase throughput.
- Maintain data integrity within ERP systems and use data to report on metrics such as on-time delivery and purchase price variance.
