General Purpose

Responsible for resolving in – process nonconforming pistol and internal parts discrepancies while maintaining accompanying inventory.

  • 2nd shift (1:30 PM to 9:30 PM) Monday through Friday
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operates in a multifaceted role to resolve internal pistol part deviations and defects, determine the root cause of malfunctions, and ensure Non‑Conforming/Non‑Repairable pistols are transported to the appropriate location.
  • Facilitate product from the assembly lines, range, cleaning, and quality control area and ensure that nonconforming product is reworked in a timely manner according to production and quality standards.
  • Use the Microsoft AX system to adjust inventory of nonconforming parts to maintain lot traceability and inventory accuracy.
  • Record and document all non‑conforming product in the Assembly and Production Range department.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of knowledge of Quality Control requirements and procedures to ensure proper disposition of non‑conforming product within the Assembly and Production Range department.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor(s) and/or Line Leads during shift change to relay all relevant information pertaining to the daily operations to ensure production and situation needs are met within a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Production Range Supervisor(s) and Quality Control to ensure non‑conforming product is processed in a timely manner to prevent production delays during the test firing process.
  • Communicate with Supervisor(s) and/or Line Leads throughout the shift to make sure leadership is aware of potential and existing product issues that could affect product quality and/or safety.
  • Report rework information and data for monthly departmental KPI reports.
  • Supports necessary information exchange between shifts and with Logistics, Kardex and Supply Chain, and Quality.
  • Coordinate with Assembly ICS to pull special‑order parts (night sights, etc.) for particular production orders.
  • Perform EOY (end of year) and daily inventory cycle counts of Assembly and Production Range department.
  • Controls all non‑conforming pistol parts from the Assembly Lead Parts Cabinet.
  • Operate variety of equipment, including hand truck and counting scale(s) as needed.
  • Supports all LEAN activities in the Assembly and production range area, especially the sustainable execution and implementation of 5S principles (order and cleanliness) and continuous process improvement (stable processes) based on KAIZEN principles to achieve highest quality standards.
  • Ensures compliance with legal‑ and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures compliance to ISO‑, OSHA‑ and Environmental Protection regulatory and ensures highest safety standards in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up to date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education measures.
  • Additional duties may be assigned or required by Assembly Supervisor.

At least 3 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in the firearms, assembly, automotive, and/or metal manufacturing industry

Previous Firearms Experience Preferred

Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics AX

Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality control, and ISO 9000

Licenses and Certifications

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
