Registered Nurse; RN- Acute Care- Part Time Card Tel​/Renal​/Wound Care

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse will work part‑time on the night shift, covering a 24‑hour week at a 28‑bed Acute Care Med‑Surg unit with telemetry. The focus is on cardiac, renal, and wound care. A sign‑on bonus is available.

  • A. Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence‑based practice and critical thinking.
  • B. Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care adapted to population‑specific characteristics and cultural diversity.
  • C. Partner with patients and families through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, timely teaching, and keeping patient goals central.

  • A. Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care and promote a respectful, inclusive environment.
  • B. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and support recruitment and retention of all team members.

  • A. Complete all required competency assessments and ongoing education.
  • B. Serve as preceptor or mentor for nurses and other staff or students.

  • A. Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
  • B. Uphold all policies, procedures, legal, regulatory and accreditation standards, including TJC Patient Safety Goals.
  • C. Participate in data collection, pose clinical questions, and consult experts.

  • A. Proactively plan patient care across the continuum during direct patient care.
  • B. Develop protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers.
  • C. Support efficient use of human and material resources.
  • D. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma (RN)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

• RN – Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT (Multi‑state Compact)
• BLS – Basic Life Support or ARC‑BLS – American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS‑I – Basic Life Support Instructor

• Minimum 5 years as an RN
• Direct patient care experience (preferred)

• Read, write, and speak English fluently.

• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with customer‑service focus.
• Adapt to fast‑paced environments and respond to emergencies with decisiveness and composure.
