Plays a crucial role in providing immediate and specialized care to children facing acute illnesses or injuries in a dedicated pediatric emergency department. Quickly assesses the conditions of pediatric patients, prioritizes care based on severity of their conditions, and implements life‑saving interventions.

• Provides family‑centered care.
• Quickly assesses patients to identify their needs.
• Works well under pressure.
• Works closely with board‑certified pediatric emergency physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to provide excellent care.
• Explains treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance.
• Maintains hospital and unit specific competencies.
• Collaborates with the pediatric acute care team to coordinate transition of care for an admitted patient.

At least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience preferred.
