Vendor Quality Lead; QA

Position: Vendor Quality Lead (QA)
Piper Companies is seeking a Vendor Quality Lead (QA) to join a global organization within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry for a hybrid 6-month contract (with possibility of extension/conversion) position based out of Smyrna, GA. The Vendor Quality Lead (QA) will act as the primary quality representative overseeing external manufacturing partners (CMOs) and ensuring compliance across GMP operations, while collaborating cross-functionally with internal technical and business teams.

Responsibilities of the Vendor Quality Lead (QA) include:

* Serve as the primary QA liaison for vendor-related deviations, investigations, and audit findings, ensuring thorough review and alignment with internal stakeholders.

* Monitor vendor performance through defined quality metrics, driving continuous improvement and accountability across manufacturing partners.

* Own and maintain vendor quality agreements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and periodic updates in partnership with external organizations.

* Lead and support key quality processes such as product quality reviews, stability programs, complaint investigations, and change control activities.

* Provide strategic QA guidance across the product lifecycle, including tech transfer, commercialization, and post-market issue resolution, while supporting audits and inspections.

Qualifications for the Vendor Quality Lead (QA) include:

* Master's degree in a scientific discipline with strong knowledge of global pharmaceutical regulations and GMP requirements.

* Demonstrated experience managing quality oversight of external manufacturing partners within a complex, global environment.

* Proven ability to analyze issues, perform root cause investigations, and implement risk-based solutions independently.

* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

* Experience working in multicultural environments with the ability to lead projects, drive results, and mentor team members.

Compensation for the Vendor Quality Lead (QA):

Salary Range: $110,000-$125,000/year (USD)
