TRC Talent Solutions is Hiring a HVAC Tech for our client in Atlanta, GA
Summary:
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This role ensures all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with Aircond and client standards.
JOB DETAILS
- Hours:
Monday-Friday 6:00pm - 3:00PM
JOB DUTIES
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, air handlers, and split systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues within HVAC systems.
- Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Inspect and test system operations using gauges, meters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Install, calibrate, and replace components such as compressors, motors, fans, pumps, belts, bearings, and thermostats.
- Work with building automation systems (BAS) and controls (e.g., Trane, Johnson Controls, Distech, Honeywell).
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation of repairs.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide professional customer service.
- Mentor apprentices or junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
- 3–5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience (for Class III–V tech roles).
- Proficiency with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with control systems and refrigeration theory.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoors).
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of Chillers, VAV systems, RTUs, Boilers, and Building Automation Systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with Distech, BACnet, or Tridium Niagara controls.
- HVAC Journeyman license (a plus but not required).
