Qualifications and

Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher in Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience teaching in K-3 or early elementary preferred
• Deep understanding of IEP processes and ability to write, implement, and track progress
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Collaborative approach to working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and support K-3 students in a self-contained setting, tailoring instruction to individual needs
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans and modify curriculum as needed
• Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain accurate documentation
• Lead and participate in IEP meetings, consulting with other professionals and guardians
• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
