Overview

The Goddard School is currently seeking an experienced leadteacher for our Cordova, TN location. Prospects will be selected based on their ability to direct assistant teachers and create engaging lesson plans for multiple classrooms and ensure assistant teachers creating asafe, nurturing and loving environment for students.

This is a leadership position, therefore only well qualifies candidates with proper education and experience will be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
• Write and implement weekly lesson plans based on Goddard’s Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes
• Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence while supporting each child’s social and emotional development, and individual needs
• Model appropriate teaching techniques and classroom management strategies to assistant teachers
• Establish positive and effective family relations through interactive parent communication
• Appropriate and professional communication with fellow staff and management, cultivating a healthy and functional working environment that fosters teamwork
• Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions
• Ensure compliance with Goddard’s Industry leading Quality Assurance standards
• Ability to work well with others

Job Requirements
All candidates, who wish to be considered must meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology, or CDA
• A minimum of 2years' experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Positive attitude and inherent love for young children
