SUMMARY Oversee financial activities of the Company and provision of financial advice and support to members of management enabling them to make sound business decisions. Assists the Controller to ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates and/or recommends to management major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.
- Assist in the development of proposals for efficiency and profit improvements.
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual results in particular balance sheets and profit & loss accounts.
- Support preparation and submission of sales tax returns and working with corporate headquarters on income tax returns and other statistical returns.
- Support the deployment of accounting procedures and policies to keep up with company needs and requirements of the group.
- Assist in the execution of financial accounting system improvements including: general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and planning and budgeting.
- Monitor and make recommendations for the system of internal control.
- Provide recommendations to ensure the coordination standards and the financial policy/principles of the Franke group are adhered to.
- Collaborate on arrangement and control of periodic physical inventories with the Controller.
- Prepares reports, which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Supports the Controller in managing budget preparation, budget proposals, and prepares supporting documentation and justification.
- Assists with audits of company's accounts.
- Coordinates with Human Resources all aspects of employee relations including, but not limited to, employee interviewing, hiring, coaching, counseling, disciplinary action, complaints, scheduling, training and development etc.
- Reliable attendance is a must.

KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Management
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. - Economics and Accounting
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and analysis and reporting of financial data. - Very High Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. - Very High Mathematical Skills
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. - Very High Reasoning Skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. - Computer Skills
- Word processing, accounting, spreadsheet, and database software.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BS/BA Degree in related field.
- Minimum five years prior related work experience.
