Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Platform Administrator II to provide advanced administration and platform support across 11 statewide Salesforce organizations. The role supports agencies and departments using Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
This administrator will manage day-to-day platform needs, deliver small to medium-sized enhancements, and help ensure solutions remain secure, stable, well-governed, and responsive to agency requirements. The position works closely with agency stakeholders, vendor partners, and internal Salesforce teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily Salesforce administration, including user provisioning, profiles, permission sets, access controls, and security configuration.
- Deliver small to medium-sized enhancements, including page layouts, flows, process automation, and minor data model changes.
- Monitor and improve data quality through validation rules, duplicate prevention, data hygiene, and related controls.
- Support capabilities across Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
- Troubleshoot user and platform issues and escalate complex technical concerns when appropriate.
- Gather business requirements from agency partners and translate them into practical Salesforce configuration tasks.
- Support release management activities, including sandbox preparation, test coordination, and deployments.
- Maintain compliance with security, governance, documentation, and audit standards.
- Coordinate with vendor teams and internal Salesforce owners to promote consistency across multiple organizations.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards based on agency and operational needs.
- Monitor Salesforce releases and recommend appropriate platform improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least three years of professional Salesforce administration experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of user administration, security, object configuration, flows, automation, data management, reporting, and dashboards.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator credentials, or the ability to obtain them within the required timeframe.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with agencies, vendors, and internal technical teams.
- Understanding of Agile delivery methods and iterative development practices.
Preferred Experience
- Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, or Sales Cloud.
- Public-sector technology environments.
- Administration or support of multiple Salesforce organizations.
