Ensures product components production, assembly, and packaging processes, and the finished product meets product specifications through the use of Quality Standards, Prints, specifications, the use of Statistical Techniques, and Customer Requirements.
We are seeking a Quality Sorter for 1st shift at our Smyrna TN plant. ScheduleMonday - Friday
Shift1st 7:00am - 3:00pm
Hourly Pay Range$18.00 - $19.56
Duties & Responsibilities- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow Sort Work Instruction to assure compliance to all required product engineering specification.
- Responsibility and authority to identify and remove non‑conforming parts from the inventory.
- Maintain and protect all company, supplier, and customer proprietary and confidential information.
- Inspect each suspected non‑conforming material to ensure meets engineering specifications by following Sorting Work Instructions.
- Utilize measuring instruments (e.g., calibers, gages, etc.) to test component meets specifications.
- Pack compliant components into boxes/totes.
- Complete inspection documentation as instructed.
- Successful completion of this job position’s Training Instruction Checklist.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
- Understand the process for containing nonconforming product and completing a RID.
- When necessary may perform other typical duties.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Prefer previous hands‑on factory experience.
- Previous good work performance history, people skills and satisfactory attendance record.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
- May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
