Job Summary
As a General Labor employee, you will assist in various tasks in the manufacturing process, including the paint line, unloading laser (breaking parts out of laser cut sheets), assembly, or other departments as directed by the supervisor. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, possess strong mechanical aptitude, and be willing to learn new tasks.
ResponsibilitiesSafety
- Follow all safety rules and adhere to core values.
- Maintain general work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
- Ensure proper operation of machines and tools; report repairs or issues to team lead or supervisor.
Quality
- Confirm material, size, and parts match work order.
- Ensure all parts and surfaces are defect‑free.
- Self‑monitor quality of own work; report unusual, defective, or operating difficulties.
- Complete all tasks within quality guidelines.
- Accurately document work performed using required documents and procedures.
Delivery
- Hang and unhang moving parts from paint line.
- Sub‑assemble according to work order instructions.
- Assist machine operators with loading/unloading tasks.
- Pack and crate orders per shipping instructions.
- Complete tasks as directed with minimal supervision.
Culture
- Desire to do the right thing.
- Team player; assist other team members and departments.
- Punctual and ready to work designated shift.
Required Experience
- 1 year experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Mechanically inclined.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Exposure to computerized manufacturing systems.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Overhead crane operation.
- Self‑driven and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical demands: solid stamina, lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance, work in plant environment, repetitive motions, potential exposure to harsh weather, heat/cold, noise.
