Maintenance Mechanic
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment, ensuring seamless operations through preventative and predictive maintenance. This role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives, and performing repairs with technical solutions. Comfort with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform all maintenance on industrial equipment including conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, cappers, and other various industrial machinery.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure constant operation of converting equipment and lines.
- Troubleshoot equipment to determine issues and implement technical solutions.
- Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.

- 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors
Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Prefer 3+ years working in a GMP environment
- Computer proficiency in MS Office
- Minimum 5 years related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility preferred
- 3 years experience in a non-FDA facility
- Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is a plus
- Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves

Work Environment
The company operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers. The facility runs around the clock, five days a week, distributing products nationwide seven days a week. As a liquid filling facility, candidates with experience in liquid filling or packaging, especially from the food and beverage industry, are preferred. The work environment may include strong odors depending on the department, such as mouthwash, lotion, or alcohol.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
