Production Team Member- Grinding​/Fitting

• Grinding Process:
  Operate hand‑held grinders to safely remove excess metal from inside and outside castings, ensuring parts are prepared for seamless installation in the field.
• Fit Verification:
  Accurately verify fit by using various thickness feeler gauges, ensuring precision in assembly.
• Hoist Utilization:
  Use hoists to manipulate castings of varying weights (from under 100 lbs. to over 1000 lbs.) into proper positions for fitting and gauging.
• Workspace Maintenance:
  Maintain a clean and organized workstation to support smooth transitions between shifts and operators.
• Daily Role:
  The successful candidate will engage daily in grinding, fitting, and verifying parts, collaborating closely with the team to meet production goals.
• Success Metrics:
  Success will be measured by the accuracy of fit, adherence to safety standards, timely completion of tasks, and effective communication through shift reporting.

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to operate hand‑held grinders and use precision measuring tools such as feeler gauges.
• Experience safely handling heavy castings using hoists or similar equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Familiarity with shift reporting and production documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced setting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
