Production Manager, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma

Job Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet established production schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage production team members, including scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Monitor production efficiency, scrap rates, downtime, and labor utilization to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Investigate and resolve production, quality, and equipment-related issues.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Human Resources departments to support manufacturing objectives.
- Conduct daily production meetings and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to team members.
- Implement and support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee inventory control and material usage within the production area.
- Participate in audits and corrective action activities.
- Support new product launches and process improvements.
- Promote employee engagement and a positive team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience
- 3+ years of experience
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing reporting systems.
- Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
