The McNabb Center seeks an accomplished fundraising professional to strengthen philanthropic support for mental health, substance use, and social services across our region. This opportunity is designed for someone who combines strategic thinking with personal connection and knows how to move a donor relationship from initial interest to lasting investment.

Your impact
Working with Center staff, leadership, and the Foundation, you will connect donors’ philanthropic goals with community needs and organizational funding priorities. You will manage fundraising initiatives, cultivate support, and help grow the resources that sustain our mission.
You will
- Advance philanthropic growth
through major gifts, planned giving, annual campaigns, and corporate contributions. - Build lasting donor partnerships by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding current donors while identifying new prospects.
- Strengthen the Foundation’s future through planned giving and endowment growth.
- Connect mission and investment by translating the Center’s programs, populations served, and funding needs into compelling opportunities for support.
- Engage employees and community partners through internal giving campaigns and collaborative outreach.
- Support Center and Foundation events that strengthen relationships and advance fundraising goals.
- Maintain strong donor records by documenting contributions, interactions, and next steps accurately.
What you bring
We are interested in your results and the relationships behind them. Strong candidates will bring:
- At least five years of fundraising and philanthropic experience, with a demonstrated record of recent success.
- Examples of securing gifts, growing donor support, strengthening retention, or advancing successful campaigns.
- The ability to earn trust quickly and sustain relationships with donors, corporate partners, community stakeholders, and organizational leaders.
- Confidence moving from strategy to execution, including making the ask and following through.
- Strong communication, organization, and donor stewardship skills.
- The motivation to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or Marketing.

Position requirements
This position is based in person in Knox County, Tennessee, and requires regional travel to Center locations and communities. A valid driver’s license is required. Duties include reading and computer use; sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching; and lifting up to 25 pounds.
