OR Registered Nurse PRN

We are seeking an Operating Room Nurse to support our ambulatory surgery center. The role involves providing safe and effective nursing care from preparation through patient recovery.

• Oversee instrument and equipment set‑up for the OR, using preference cards and anticipating the surgeon’s needs
• Coordinate and oversee the room as a circulator during a case
• Facilitate an effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
• Utilize appropriate body mechanics to move patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury
• Manage patient care and medication, including anesthesia assistance
• Consistently review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols before and after the surgery

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school
• Minimum 1 year of operating room experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
• Active RN license as required by the state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
• Valid BCLS certification at the time of employment (online certification not acceptable)
• ACLS certification required by the facility
• PALS preferred, may be required at some facilities
• CNOR certification preferred
