Registered Nurse - Pediatric ER - Nights

Plays a crucial role in providing immediate and specialized care to children facing acute illnesses or injuries in a dedicated pediatric emergency department. Quickly assesses the conditions of pediatric patients, prioritizes care based on severity of their conditions, and implements life‑saving interventions.

• Provides family‑centered care
• Quickly assesses patients to identify their needs
• Able to work well under pressure
• Works closely with board‑certified pediatric emergency physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to provide excellent care
• Explains treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance
• Maintains hospital and unit specific competencies
• Collaborates with the pediatric acute care team to coordinate transition of care for an admitted patient

At least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience preferred.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
