American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Requirements
  • Active RN license (TN or compact) currently in hand
  • RN licensure along with ARRT or RCIS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
  • Experience in both diagnostic and PCI procedures required
  • Monitor experience required
  • Circulating experience required
  • Sedation experience required for RNs
  • Community hospital or mixed IR & Cath Lab setting experience preferred
  • Advanced skills in IR, Specials, and vascular procedures preferred
Responsibilities
  • Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit of a 115-bed community hospital
  • 1:1 patient ratio within the cath lab
  • Unit staffed by 3-person cath and call teams, including full-time techs and RNs, with 5-6 staff scheduled per day
  • Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures including left and right heart caths, PCI (Type A, B1, some B2 lesions), Rotablator, CSI, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, and FFR/IVUS procedures
  • Uses GE X-ray equipment and Alaris pumps
  • Documentation completed in Merge Hemo and Meditech
  • Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM with variable days
  • Call requirements include up to 8 days of weekday call and up to 6 days of weekend call per month
  • RNs may float to cover Cardiology patients in Non-Invasive, CT, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine departments
  • No floating required outside of the cardiology service line
  • Work alongside highly involved leadership committed to department success
  • Small hospital environment with a family-like team culture
  • Dress code requires red top and bottom scrubs, or black top with red bottoms; ceil blue also acceptable
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for this position
