Scientist, Environmental Science, Lab Tech ​/ Assistant

Join an environmental testing laboratory as a Scientist 1, conducting hands-on analysis of air, water, and soil samples while supporting the production of accurate, reliable scientific data. This role is suited to a motivated science professional looking to develop laboratory expertise and build a long-term career in environmental testing.

• Perform, support, and oversee the analysis of air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
• Operate, clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Follow established laboratory procedures and quality standards to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, test results, and other laboratory activities.
• Maintain organized records and contribute to the overall quality and integrity of laboratory data.
• Work safely and effectively within a laboratory environment while following required PPE and safety procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another relevant STEM discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong interest in laboratory science and environmental testing.
• Ability to learn and apply established analytical methods and laboratory procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and working around strong odors.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves.

• Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM
• Compensation: $19.00 per hour
