Job Description
The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for routine and non‑routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a fleet of regional jet aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid technical expertise, and a consistent commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs on regional aircraft.
- Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft systems such as hydraulic systems, de-icing systems, landing gear, and related components.
- Perform inspections during the assembly of parts and after repairs or component installations to verify proper fit, function, and compliance.
- Run diagnostic tests on aircraft systems, interpret the results, and implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and regulatory agencies to clarify technical information, report status, and resolve maintenance issues.
- Active FAA A&P License Required
- 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience is preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong skills and potential.
- $30/hr-$38/hr
- 1st Shift: (approximately 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
- 2nd Shift: (approximately 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM)
- Schedules typically running Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday based on operational needs.
This role is based at an aircraft maintenance hangar complex at Smyrna Airport, approximately 20 miles from the Nashville, TN area. The work environment is a busy, hands‑on hangar setting that can be dirty and is not climate controlled, so it will be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Technicians frequently walk outside between hangars and work in and around active aircraft and ground support equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
