Role:
Surgery Field Engineer Apprentice focusing on service and repair of diagnostic imaging equipment in healthcare settings. Objectives: support customer satisfaction, ensure equipment functionality, and develop technical skills for long-term field service career.
- troubleshoot and repair imaging systems
- perform preventative maintenance
- conduct safety/environmental inspections
- document service activities
- communicate with hospital staff
- high school diploma/GED with relevant electronic, mechanical, or IT experience; or AS/BS degree
- valid driver's license
- legal work authorization in the U.S.
- Experience in interpreting schematics, electronic circuitry, and biomedical devices is preferred.
- Skills include technical troubleshooting, customer service, and adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- onsite role primarily at hospitals in Chattanooga, TN
- flexible scheduling to support healthcare operations 24/7
- potential travel to customer sites
- physical ability to lift equipment up to 35 lbs and perform extended periods of bending or standing
