Serve Middle Tennessee as a Field Apprentice Coverage area:
Middle Tennessee — with current openings in Wilson and Williamson Counties.

A day in this role

You start your morning by reviewing the day’s service calls and planned site visits with your Maintenance Supervisor. Your truck is stocked, your phone is ready, and you head out to perform line locates following Tennessee 811 guidelines. Mid-morning, a customer reports a potential leak—your troubleshooting mindset kicks in as you inspect pumps, motors, valves, and gauges to restore proper balance.

After lunch, you complete tank inspections and scheduled maintenance at a treatment site, documenting all work performed. You finish the day with preventative checks across the collection system and log accurate records before touching base with your supervisor for next-day planning.

What you’ll take on Operate, maintain, and repair wastewater equipment (pumps, motors, valves).Troubleshoot malfunctions, perform routine maintenance, and address leaks promptly.

Perform line locates per Tennessee 811 guidelines.

Conduct tank inspections and respond to service calls.

Carry out required visits and maintenance/repairs at treatment sites.

Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges for proper system balance.

Assist in maintenance and repair of the collection system.

Maintain precise records of maintenance and repairs.

Your toolkit

High school diploma or equivalent.

Wastewater BNS/Collection systems license required after 1 year.

Experience with decentralized wastewater collection and treatment systems preferred (not required).Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to operate a variety of equipment.

Skilled at troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.

Hands-on maintenance and repair capability.

Working knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.

Compensation:
Negotiable based on experience. From $19/hr.401(k) with matching
