Class A Driver Opportunity

Caruso is a family owned, 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat, and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores all over the USA and we are growing! We are looking for experienced Class A Drivers out of Smyrna, TN. This is home daily. Pick up time is between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm and the route will go to either Atlanta, GA or Memphis, TN.

Minimal Touch Freight. Weekend work is required but we do rotate.

Responsibilities:

• Transport goods to and from manufacturing plant and to other depots.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, safety issues, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have Class A License.
• Must have at least 9 months of verifiable experience in the last 3 years.
• Must have a good driving record with none of the following violations:
• Reckless driving
• DUI/OMVI
• Hit and Run
• Excessive Speed as defined by DOT (15+ miles over)
• No Preventable Accidents. No more than 2 moving violations within the last 24 months.
• Ability to work and drive in all types of weather.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies, and procedures.
• Excellent and prompt attendance each day scheduled.
• Experience with refrigerated products and previous route delivery is a plus.
