We are seeking a Warehouse Clerk on 2nd shift at our Smyrna, TN plant.
Work schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm. Hourly rate: $19.00 - $20.00 plus $1.00 shift differential.
- Perform all information exchange requirements for OEM customers, including advance shipping notices and use of Future III software.
- Coordinate and communicate resources in Customer Service and IT support and customers during abnormal communication breakdowns.
- Operate forklift and industrial equipment: reach truck, order picker, counter balance (dock stocker), battery changer, and LP gas sit‑down counter balance; adhere to safety precautions.
- Schedule/confirm shipments online for OEM Future III and other EDI customer accounts.
- Enter data for stock tickets, packing slips, bills of lading, customs documents, and other reports.
- Maintain extreme accuracy in all data entry and shipping/warehouse functions.
- Issue material certification documents dictated by customer demand.
- Select picking tickets and shippers using allocation reports and load sheets with Future III and other systems.
- Transmit ASNs using main‑frame or PC terminals in a timely manner consistent with freight carriers.
- Verify and print bills of lading and customs documents as required.
- Perform daily billing of customer orders and distribute paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
- Maintain and protect all proprietary and confidential company, supplier, and customer information.
- Perform other typical duties as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of warehouse experience; prior experience in high‑volume EDI, AS400, ASN functions or comparable skills.
- Accurate high‑volume data entry/key‑boarding ability.
- Multi‑tasking ability to handle all duties while using personal computers, internet‑driven EDI software, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment (computer, calculator).
- Experience with warehouse equipment: electric order picker, electric reach truck, order picker, RF scan gun, shipping and strapping gear.
- Strong ability to follow written procedures.
- Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
- Adequate vision to operate forklift equipment and read instructions.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms.
- Safe lifting, bending, twisting, grasping, reaching, stooping, and trunk‑turning motions.
- Understand verbal and written instruction in English.
