Senior Estimator

“We are hoping for someone more experienced in roadways, earthwork, land development, and not so much vertical construction."

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roadway construction, earthwork, land development, and civil construction
, rather than primarily vertical construction. An Engineering degree and design-build experience are preferred.

• Prepare accurate project cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Develop and explain estimate details, including labor hours, personnel requirements, materials, and equipment.
• Identify and develop relationships with qualified subcontractors and suppliers.
• Obtain competitive pricing and manage subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Coordinate with superintendents to support project scheduling and execution.
• Maintain current wage rates, material pricing, and equipment costs.
• Provide timely, accurate reports and project information to management.
• Research upcoming projects and opportunities to evaluate their viability and alignment with company capabilities.
• Utilize Primavera software as needed.
• Support construction teams and maintain strong client relationships.

• Min 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Strong experience in roadways, earthwork, land development, and civil construction.
• Vertical construction experience is not the primary focus.
• Previous experience managing or supporting construction teams.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, costs, and estimating methodologies.
• Design-build experience preferred.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills with excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet strict deadlines, and remain composed under pressure.
• Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
