Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Registered Nurse (RN) located in Atlanta, GA. This role focuses on delivering one-on-one pediatric care in a home setting, supporting children transitioning from hospital to home care.

Primary responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering treatments and medications, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring patient progress. The Registered Nurse will also educate patients and their families, collaborate with healthcare providers, and maintain accurate medical records.

This role plays a key part in supporting services aligned with the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP), ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides rapid, high-quality nursing care to patients with acute illness, injury, and life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, prioritize, and triage patients using established clinical protocols.
  • Provide emergency nursing care, treatments, and life-saving interventions.
  • Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered.
  • Monitor patient condition, interpret clinical findings, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization.
  • Operate and monitor emergency and life-support equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive clinical outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
  • Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current

EDAP certified facilities:
Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required
