Obstetrics, RN Nurse
We operate a 13-bed obstetrics unit with additional overflow and specialized rooms, providing 24/7 coverage by Hospitalists and skilled physicians.
Any laboring or preterm mom over 20 weeks, along with postpartum moms needing readmission, are cared for here.
Our staffing ratios vary based on patient status: 1:2 for laboring, 1:1 for active labor or C-section, 1:3 antepartum, and 1:4 triage/OB-ED, following AWHONN standards.
The staff nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Qualifications include a nursing program graduate, current Georgia RN license or multistate license, and BLS certification.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, hospital nursing experience, advanced certifications such as ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring training within specified time frames.
PRN candidates require at least one year of hospital nursing experience.
