American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience, prior travel experience, and GA or compact RN licensure.
Requirements- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients
- IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required
- Central line care/management experience required
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage preferred
- IV vasopressor medication administration experience
- General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients, infants through geriatrics
- 12-hour night shifts (3x12), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Patient ratio of 1:4 across 46 rooms with an average daily census of 135
- Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR charting/communication systems
- Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
- Floating required, possibly to a sister campus
- No on-call requirements
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient acuities and age groups
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Holiday coverage required per facility policy based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration
- No RTO permitted during orientation week
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former Piedmont permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers previously cancelled or deemed not returnable to a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside of Piedmont before reapplying
