Overview
Job Brief: This position will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, which requires an ability to juggle several organizational tasks role is based in Snohomish, Washington.
Responsibilities- Act as primary backup for billing processes, including invoicing.
- Handle collections of outstanding payments from customers, assist in resolving billing issues and customer discrepancies, and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Serve as key point of contact for complex payment posting issues.
- Create and monitor accounts receivable aging reports; take appropriate action to ensure timely collections and resolve billing discrepancies. Ensure monthly statements are sent to customers.
- Create and monitor pending sales reports and take action to ensure timely billing by coordinating with operations and others as necessary.
- Act as primary backup for accounts payable processes, subcontractor invoicing.
- Reconcile monthly AP accounts and monthly credit card statements; ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of all receivable and payable transactions with proper documentation.
- Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status and performance metrics to senior management, including monthly collections forecast.
- Assist with payroll taxes and processing of payroll as needed.
- Assist with yearly reports, 1099s, W-2s, and other end-of-year projects.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance internal control.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers and employees.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation of new Accounting and Payroll systems.
- Participate in special projects, audits, and provide necessary documentation and support as required.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with accounting software, such as Quick Books Desktop, preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Experience demonstrating professional growth and advancement.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience is desired.
- Accounting experience in a telecommunications environment is desired.
- Alternate sitting and standing at will (sit/stand desk).
- Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Requires viewing a computer screen for long periods.
- May lift or carry small parcels, packages, and other items.
$30.00 - $36.00 per hour, DOE
