Theater Technician

Overview

Theater Technician position details and status are provided by the Snohomish School District. This role supports events at the District's Performing Arts Centers (PACs). Hours vary and typically include evenings and weekends, with possible daytime hours. Hours are event- or project-specific and there is no minimum hour guarantee.

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Theater Technician sets up, operates, troubleshoots, and strikes technical equipment for theater events, including lighting, audio, rigging, video/streaming, and projection systems. Depending on the technical requirements of each event, the Theater Technician may perform one or more technical roles (lighting, audio, or stage technician), working independently or as part of a team. The Theater Technician may also perform maintenance and other theater-related duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

$25.00 per hour. Time sheet will be required for pay.

• One year of experience supporting technical theater or performing arts events is preferred, with experience in lighting, audio, stagecraft or rigging.
• Reliable transportation is required for all assigned work locations and work hours.
• Ability to meet the qualifications listed on the attached job description for this position.
