Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Teacher of the Visually Impaired, is responsible for supporting the educational process. Please refer to attached job description for specific responsibilities.

Salary Range: $36.27 - $41.36 Braillist Assistant per 2025-26 Public School Employees Salary Schedule

Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.

Work Schedule:

* Shift: Monday through Friday, hours are TBD depending on level of support on any given day

* Paid

Hours:

6.0 hours per day

* Lunch Break: 30 minutes unpaid break

* Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time off during spring break, winter break and summer plus 10 paid holidays

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* AA degree required.

* State certification in United English Braille (UEB).

* Washington State Driver's License.

* Blood Borne Pathogen Training.

* Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
