Snohomish School District is seeking a skilled and dedicated professional committed to students and the community. Successful candidates will actively pursue personal and professional growth, working effectively with a diverse range of individuals.

Job Summary: Assist the head coach in implementing the cross‑country program. Responsibilities include developing fundamental skills and understanding of the sport, modeling sportsmanship, maintaining a safe environment, monitoring eligibility, inventorying equipment, and handling related records. Specific duties are as outlined in the attached job description.

Season: 1st Quarter – Middle School, September 1, 2026 to October 22, 2026 (subject to change)

Salary: $2,501 – $2,980 per the 2025‑26 Athletic Stipend Schedule. Hourly rate depends on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated coaching experience at the head or assistant level.
  • Willingness to meet Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association coaching certification standards.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Washington state teacher certification preferred.
  • Employment as a teacher or substitute teacher in Snohomish School District preferred.
  • Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of technical aspects of the sport preferred.
  • Willingness to explore new theories and procedures related to the sport.
  • First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B training.
