Job SummaryThe head coach is responsible for implementing and leading the girls wrestling program. Responsibilities include developing fundamental skills and rules understanding, modeling sportsmanship and ethical behavior, determining play systems, implementing best strategies, maintaining a safe environment, ensuring participant eligibility, monitoring behavior, issuing and maintaining equipment, handling financial records, and performing related duties as assigned.
SeasonWinter – High School. Estimated season dates:
November 15, 2026 – February 8, 2027 (subject to change).
$8,676 – $10,336 per the Athletic Salary Schedule. Hourly rate/stipend depends on experience.
Required Qualifications- Minimum Age: 21 years or older.
- Education: High school diploma required;
Washington state teacher certification preferred. - Professional
Experience:
Prior successful coaching experience in wrestling preferred, along with familiarity with technical aspects of the sport. - First Aid & CPR Certification: Must hold current certifications; can be provided at time of hire.
- HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B Training: Required; provided at time of hire.
- Policy Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the district's athletic policies.

Strong communication with students, parents, and staff. - Leadership and Organization: Ability to maintain a structured and productive environment.
- Problem Solving and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changes, resolve issues, and remain composed under pressure.
