Job Info: This is a long‑term leave replacement position starting on September 1, 2026 through January 8, 2027. Salary listed is based on the 2025‑26 salary schedule and will be updated upon board approval of the 2026‑27 salary schedule. Screening of applications will begin on June 23, 2026.

Title: Classroom Teacher
Reports To: Building Principal
Position Summary: The classroom teacher, under the direction of the Building Principal, will create a program and class environment favorable to learning and personal growth of students which facilitates student success in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district‑approved curriculum; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation in life, and establish good relationships and rapport with students, parents and staff members.
The teacher will document student progress, activities and outcomes; address specific educational needs of students; and provide feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals. The teacher will maintain professional competence through in‑service education, coursework and professional growth activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate for the State of Washington with required endorsement in area of assignment
- Prior experience in the school setting preferred
- Other qualifications as the Board and Superintendent may find appropriate
- Current valid CPR and First Aid may be required for the specific assignment
Special Requirements
- Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance
- I-9 employment eligibility in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act
- HIV/HBV training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided)
- Human Resources new hire training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided)
