Overview
Elementary Music and Band Teacher — Leave Replacement ). 1.0 FTE non-continuing position for a Music Teacher. Under the direction of the Principal, responsible for developing in each student an appreciation of the art of music as part of general culture; teaching techniques of vocal or instrumental music expression; discovering and developing talents of students in the field of music; and developing knowledge and skills in listening to and reading music.
Specific responsibilities for this position are described in the attached job description.
Salary and dates of assignment are listed below; placement on the salary schedule is determined by official documentation verifying educational level and work experience. Salary is prorated for less than a full year or part-time employment.

Contract:
180 days, includes 12 sick days and 3 personal days per year (prorated for less than a full school year)

Responsibilities- Develop in each student an appreciation of music as part of general culture.
- Teach techniques of vocal or instrumental music expression; discover and develop student talents in music.
- Develop knowledge and skills in listening to and reading music.
- Implement classroom activities under the direction of the Principal and in alignment with district policy and the attached job description.
- Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
- Possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification for the duration of employment when required by Board Policy.
