Position: Test Technician - Aircraft Hydraulics-Mar 2023
Aircraft Test Technician - Hydraulics - Everett area- 1307

As a leader in the aerospace industry, our client is growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available, including several Test Technicians in their Aircraft Hydraulic Activation group close to Everett, Washington.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Test Engineering Supervisor, the Test Technician develops test equipment for and executes testing of aircraft hydraulic components under the direction of engineering.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sets up and executes testing of complete units and components under direction of engineering.
  • Records test data for development, regulatory requirements, standardization, and/or quality control of product.
  • Develops and records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.
  • Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.
  • Reviews test plans, project instructions and drawings to develop requisite test support equipment or structures necessary to execute testing.
  • Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, electromechanical and servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Drafts detail drawings or sketches for parts fabrication by machine, metal or wood shops.
  • Assists in developing test specifications, procedures, or objectives and in developing potential solutions to design challenges such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts and/or subassemblies.
  • Maintains test area. Tools, tooling, hardware, test units, test equipment, and office equipment are kept neat and organized on a daily basis.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
  • 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with FAA manufacturing guidelines and regulations preferred but not required.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
