A Day in the Life of the Broadband Technician I, II or III
This position performs residential installs and disconnects (data, video, phone) on customer premises according to organizational standards and specs. It ensures a positive customer experience by verifying correct RF and signal levels within specifications before completion, thereby reducing repeat calls and truck rolls.
Responsibilities- Maintain communication with leadership and dispatch to sustain performance metrics, safety and time management.
- Provide customer education on new or existing products and services, including upsell opportunities.
- Operate company vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 years of experience (Entry Level).
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Knowledge of ladders, hand or power tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Aptitude for quickly learning new skills.
- Problem solving, time management, teamwork and ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Work performed in both climate‑controlled and non‑climate‑controlled environments, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehicles.
- Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and driving.
- Ability to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods.
- Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder level.
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions and perform fine motor tasks, forceful gripping, and limited keyboarding.

Broadband Technician I: $20.00–$28.00 per hour
Broadband Technician II: $21.00–$29.40 per hour
Broadband Technician III: $22.08–$30.87 per hour
Base pay ranges may vary and may be higher or lower based on relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. Bonuses, commission, and other incentives may also apply.
