Inspector / Utility Service Worker
Cross Valley Water District is seeking an Inspector / Utility Service Worker in Snohomish, WA. The district spans approximately 40 miles over south Snohomish County, serves over 7,500 connections, and operates 11 separate wells, one water treatment plant and 49 PRV stations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the district’s water and sewer installations and associated project components meet contractual requirements, specifications, standards of the district and other jurisdictional authorities.
- Inspect all types of projects, including minor capital projects, emergency work, inter‑local agreements, developer extensions, and side sewer installations.
- Repair, maintain, install, and adjust the district’s water distribution system, sewage collection system, plants, and reservoirs.
- Perform varied manual work and operate heavy and specialized equipment to maintain and/or repair water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
Experience & Education
- At least five years of experience as a water/sewer service worker in a water or sewer district or utility maintenance and installation operations in the construction industry, or at least three years of inspecting construction projects or working on public works construction projects.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
