Primary Purpose:
Assist the campus principal in directing and managing the overall campus operations. Responsible for assigned areas of campus instructional program, ensuring high standards of instruction and student achievement, compliance with district policies, application of instructional programs, and effective operation of campus activities.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree from an accredited university (Required)
Valid Texas Administrator Certification-Principal or Mid Management, or in process of obtaining
Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser
Experience:
Three years experience as an elementary classroom teacher or instructional coach (Required)
Experience in instructional leadership roles
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Excellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Special Education (laws, procedures, programming, behavior)

Supervise and evaluate the work of professional staff as assigned by the school principal. Direct the
work of teachers, custodians, paraprofessionals, clerical personnel and others as assigned.

Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.
Posture:
Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing,/pulling, and twisting
Motion:
Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting:
Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional physical restraint of students
to control behavior
Environment:
May work prolonged or irregular hours; work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold,
and inclement weather), exposure to noise; occasional district wide and statewide travel
Mental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
