Puget Sound Energy is seeking a qualified Records Specialist to join our Engineering Operations team. This role supports the records lifecycle, ensuring proper storage, retrieval, and disposition of business records.
Job DescriptionAs PSE's trusted records expert, you'll guide teams through the complete information lifecycle—from identifying what to keep and how long to preserve it, to ensuring proper storage and disposal. You'll be the go-to person for both daily records and off-site storage needs, thoughtfully organizing and categorizing materials while helping colleagues quickly find what they need. Your attention to detail will keep our tracking systems reliable and ensure PSE's valuable information is always accessible and well-organized.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Job Responsibilities- Provides assistance to manage records necessary for day-to-day operations.
- Assists in conducting records inventories and updating the retention schedule.
- Prepares records for storage and may initiate the disposition process.
- Assists with records storage questions, education, preparation and implementation.
- Manages requests for records retrievals.
- Sorts and analyzes documents to determine official business record. Classifies records according to the corporate records retention schedule.
- Evaluates and interprets document information to determine metadata.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 35+ pounds on a continual basis.
- Demonstrated competency with computers and software – Word, Excel, Access.
- Experience with Corporate Records or information management.
- Knowledge of utility records systems.
- 1 year related work experience or records certification at the practitioner level (such as AIIM ERMP).
The pay range for this position is $53,200.00–$82,600.00, and the position is eligible for annual goals‑based incentive bonuses.
