This is a leave replacement position for the 1st semester of the school year. The school counselor provides services to students, including school program and career planning; individual and group counseling, needs assessments for determining appropriate modes of service, and short‑term crisis intervention. The counselor also disseminates appropriate information to students, staff, and parents, and assists in articulation between middle school, high school, and post‑high‑school institutions.
Qualifications- Valid Washington State ESA Certificate with appropriate endorsement is required.
- Insurance:
Medical, dental, vision, long‑term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year. - Retirement Plans:

Certificated employees receive 12 sick days and 2 discretionary personal leave days each school year. Sick leave and discretionary personal leave days are based on scheduled hours and position start date. - Benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB).
Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Employees scheduled to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for benefits.
